Queenstown isn't known as the "adventure capital of the world" for nothing, and truly offers something for everyone.
This region is known as the Southern Lakes, encompassing the World Heritage Fiordland area, Shotover Canyon, Kawarau Gorge, Mountain Peaks and picture perfect lakes, providing a base for activities to suit everyone.
Snow sports
Queenstown has 5 ski fields in close proximity Coronet Peak and The Remarkables and just over the hill in Wanaka is Cardona and Trebble cone and The Snow Farm for cross country skiing, snow mobiling and more! If its Heli skiing your after there are a few companys that will get you back country for fresh tracks and powder!
Water Activities
Queenstown is on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, approxmently 80km in lenght with a depth of 410m. It is New Zealand's longest lake and third by capacity. Swim, water ski or spot your dinner while Heli-rafting or pehaps sail away with a chilled Chardonnay on sunset from one of the many local vineyards.
New Zealand pioneered jet boating technology is now found across the globe. Numerous local operators offer thrilling rides to sample this fun sport, and is highly recommended.
For a more tranquil experience, a trip to Milford Sound in Fiordland often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world, should be on your agenda. Hire one of our

Air Activities

Land Activities
From hiking to mountain biking the many trials Queenstown and the surrounding region has to offer. If you reqiure some other legs to do the work jump on a horse and ride through the mountains.

For the motor bike enthusiasts, try a quad or dirt bike experience, or hire a 4WD to see the Lord of the Rings locations.
Golfers are spoilt for choice with world class Championship courses available and some for the 'hackers' too.

For a bit of retail therapy, shops are open 7 days a week, some till late.
Food and Drink
Queenstown is big on dining and nightlife. One can't walk far without finding a cafe, restaurant or takeaway meal. Farming and fishing form a large part of the New Zealand economy, so produce is fresh and plentiful. Local favourites are lamb and beef, salmon, mussels, oysters and crayfish.
The local winelands are famous for their Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blancs, and many have restaurants on site.
